The heat had abated in Verona; the violence had not. The Mob Laws were now being enforced, making public assemblies of more than ten people a crime. The Ducal Guards, now supported by reinforcements from nearby districts, established nightly barricades on the major carriage roads. Drunkenness, insulting gestures, and drawn weapons were now also now criminal offenses worthy of arrest and fines. Further elevation of temporary restrictions was being debated by the Council.

About In Verona

In Verona is an ongoing story created and illustrated with The Sims 2. It features a blend of premade Sims from the Veronaville neighborhood, their Shakespearean counterparts and cohorts, and a few characters shamelessly nicked from Jane Austen, all twisted into a historical-fantasy melodrama. While details, themes, and flaws from real-world history are included and explored, the story exists in a fictional universe of its own.

The story is not a traditional crossover between multiple works of fiction. It is best enjoyed if you let go of expectations for Jane Austen fanfic, TS2 canon compliance, and/or (heaven forbid!) "historical accuracy". There are many things that In Verona isn't, but I hope it can be enjoyed for what it is.
